We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our competition analysis team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior directors to drive meaningful change in the competitive landscape. You will be responsible for leading teams, developing plans, and identifying suitable resolutions for complex competition issues.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading teams to identify and analyse relevant information to draw evidence-based conclusions on competition issues.
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing plans for the conduct of investigations and/or projects.
  • Identifying suitable resolutions for identified actions, changing market behaviours, activities and issues and providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Preparing for litigation in the Federal Court including drafting briefs for lawyers and counsel and obtaining witness statements.
  • Assisting with leading and guiding the professional development of junior team members and contributing to the leadership of the branch.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced qualifications in economics, law or a related field.
  • A thorough understanding of competition laws and regulations.
  • Experience in managing investigations into complex matters and/or competition law issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake objective, systematic analysis to draw accurate conclusions.
  • Strong written drafting skills and experience in ensuring high quality documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
