As an Employment Consultant, you'll play a vital role in securing new employer placements for candidates, using your understanding of the labour market and strong networking skills to develop relationships with local businesses and market candidates to current and potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with candidates and host employers to build trusting relationships
  • Identify vocational goals and barriers in finding candidates sustainable ongoing employment
  • Coach candidates through potential job opportunities by providing support with resume writing, presentation, and interview techniques
  • Develop and grow a network of potential employers by attending networking events and employer forums
  • Collaborate with Rehabilitation Consultants to ensure a smooth and supportive return to work journey for candidates
  • Gather information and maintain accurate records relating to each case
  • Work towards and exceeding candidate and placement KPIs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation, employment placement, labour market, or a recruitment environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a passion to help people
  • Resilience, self-motivation, and the ability to work and thrive within a KPI environment
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable but not essential
