Electrical Supervisor Role

The role of an Electrical Supervisor is pivotal in the smooth operation of electrical maintenance teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and guiding diverse groups to achieve business objectives.

  • Mentor and coach others to reach their full potential, upholding high standards in safety and electrical practices.
  • Coordinate EI maintenance teams and negotiate workload with peers and management effectively.

For this challenging role, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor who can:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve electrical maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

A strong understanding of electrical or Electrical/Instrumentation trade background and current 'A' Grade Electrical license is essential for this role. Additionally, supervisory Gas Fitter licence and HV Switching Operator tickets (considered favourably) will be beneficial.

Other key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and executing electrical maintenance, preferably in a computerised maintenance planning system. Experience with Distributed Control Systems (Honeywell) and PLC systems (Allen-Bradley) is also advantageous.

Alcoa offers support in obtaining Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership position or similar industry is required for this role.
