Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate in mining engineering to gain practical experience and develop their skills in a leading cement company.

The Graduate Mining Engineer will work closely with experienced professionals to ensure safe, productive, and forward-thinking operations. This role offers a unique chance to assess mine site feasibility through geological surveys and data analysis, contributing to informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain hands-on experience in mineral extraction within the Operations team, working collaboratively to achieve operational excellence.
  • Support mine design and planning, focusing on safety, environmental responsibility, and efficiency.
  • Assess mine site feasibility through geological surveys and data analysis, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Identify and manage operational risks on site, ensuring the well-being of the team and minimizing disruptions.
  • Participate in improvement projects to enhance performance and reliability, driving business growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on meaningful projects shaping mining practices, developing skills and expertise.
About You
  • Qualifications: Completed or near completion of a Bachelor of Mining Engineering or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, data analysis abilities, and adaptability are essential for this role.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude towards new challenges are necessary for success in this position.
  • Open to relocating for site rotations, including TAS and QLD.
