We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at NRMA Treasure Island Resort.
As part of our dynamic kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about food and have a commitment to providing outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:- Support all aspects of kitchen operations, including daily meal services and special events.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to high standards, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff, food service teams, and management to ensure smooth service and effective communication regarding orders and kitchen operations.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment, adhering to correct storage procedures for food, equipment, utensils, and implements.
- Conduct daily temperature checks for fridges, freezers, storage areas, and deliveries, recording assessments as required.
- Clean, sanitise, and disinfect all kitchen areas according to daily cleaning schedules.
- A formal qualification in commercial cookery is highly valued.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, club kitchen, or catering for events and functions.
- Solid understanding of Food Safety principles and workplace health and safety protocols.
- Effective verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Willingness to assist colleagues to ensure seamless task execution.
