Corporate Tax Specialist Role

We are seeking a seasoned corporate tax professional to join our team, supporting the growth of our specialist services. This role will act as a key conduit between the tax team, clients, and stakeholders, managing complex corporate tax matters while leading a team of professionals to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client engagements, identifying and addressing technical issues, preparing file notes and specific tax advice
  • Mentor and lead a team of corporate tax staff, ensuring delivery excellence across a portfolio of sophisticated and diverse clients
  • Oversee and review corporate income tax compliance, including income tax returns, tax consolidations, and lodgement programs
  • Provide expert tax advisory on corporate restructures, international tax matters, and employee share schemes
  • Review tax effect accounting calculations and prepare tax notes for our listed and large private client base
  • Coach and mentor team members, contributing to their professional development and engagement
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and support business development initiatives across the practice

About You:

  • Be degree qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Business or other relevant qualification
  • Have completed a CA or CPA qualification
  • Have at least 4+ years of experience in corporate tax within a professional services environment
  • Be technically proficient and interested in learning to keep up to date with Australian corporate tax legislation, ATO guidance, and international tax developments
  • Have experience with FBT, tax effect accounting under AASB 112, tax notes, employee share schemes, and cross-border tax planning
  • Demonstrate strong judgement, critical thinking, and analytical skills to deliver technically sound outcomes
  • Be an effective communicator and team leader with the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate stakeholders to meet deadlines
