We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Employment Support Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Support Specialist, you will work with individuals with disabilities to provide tailored employment support and help them achieve their employment goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the disability sector and be passionate about helping others. You will be responsible for delivering person-centered employment supports, including job coaching, mentorship, and marketing participants to employers.
- Deliver individualized employment supports to participants with disabilities
- Provide job coaching and mentorship to help participants develop employability skills
- Market participants to employers and negotiate employment terms to suit their needs
- Provide on-site support once employment has commenced and assist with integration
Requirements:
Eligibility to work in Australia
A current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
Have current First Aid and CPR certificate
Willing to complete a Criminal History Check
Able to pass a Working with Children Check
Able to pass a NDIS Worker Screening Check
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn case management systems
Ability to build professional relationships with a wide variety of people
Understanding of NDIS framework and employment supports preferred (training provided)
Ability to travel as required for service delivery and support of participants across Melbourne
Minimum 1-2 years experience in employment services, disability support, or community services
