Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our renewable energy projects in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering innovative electrical design solutions for power generation facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical input for grid connections, substation design, and generator connection including gas, wind, solar, and other renewable sources.
  • Managing project-related design deliverables.
  • Reviewing detailed design documents prepared by subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
  • Participating in project delivery, construction, and commissioning management.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the development or electrical detailed design deliverables for renewable or conventional power generation facilities in Australia.
  • Strong understanding of HV, MV, and LV electrical design, general arrangement, and generator connections process.
  • Competent in the use of electrical design and modelling tools like ETAP, Digsilent PowerFactory, PSCAD or similar.
  • Sound understanding of Australian industry codes and standards in particular the National Electricity Rules (NER).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
