Senior Mechanical Project Lead

A highly skilled professional who drives the success of large-scale infrastructure projects, specializing in mechanical design and implementation.

About This Role

This key leadership position is instrumental in the successful execution of major water infrastructure initiatives. The Senior Mechanical Project Lead will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from procurement to commissioning.

  • Lead the mechanical design and implementation of major water infrastructure projects.
  • Provide senior technical oversight during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure compliance with mechanical design intent, technical specifications, and project milestones.
Main Responsibilities
  • Tendering & Design Support: Collaborate with bid teams to ensure mechanical design alignment during tender phases. Review and refine technical documentation, cost estimates, and design strategies.
  • Procurement & Coordination: Work closely with procurement teams to define mechanical scopes and technical requirements. Oversee vendor engagement, RFQ processes, and equipment selection.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key technical liaison with clients and project partners. Present mechanical solutions and lead discussions to ensure stakeholder confidence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical project delivery or technical tendering.
  • Proven leadership in mechanical design and delivery for desalination or water treatment projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment selection, and installation practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
