Infrastructure Operations Director

La Trobe University seeks a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Operations Director to lead our team in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of infrastructure across multiple sites.
This is a pivotal role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as expertise in managing safety, mechanical, and fire systems. The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
About You- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in managing safety, mechanical, and fire systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic change and innovative problem-solving.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff performance.
- Manage and audit Essential Safety Measures (ESMs) to meet legislative and internal standards.
- Coordinate maintenance and upgrades of mechanical and fire systems.
- Implement standardized contractor methodologies and performance benchmarks.
- Support operations through proactive asset management and emergency readiness.
