Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Leader (Mining). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering quality services on projects across Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with extensive experience (5-15 years) in the mining sector, specifically in autonomous, non-process infrastructure.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and lead civil engineering projects with a focus on mining.
  • Manage a team to deliver civil design packages for mining infrastructure projects.
  • Liaise with clients, local government, and authorities to ensure project success.
  • Manage projects, including resourcing, scheduling, cash flow, and budget preparation.
  • Prepare design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff and oversee design development and documentation.
  • Meet client expectations for projects delivered on time and with high accuracy.
  • Identify issues and develop solutions, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Undertake quality reviews for deliverables.
  • Gather data and evidence for engineering studies, analysis, and calculations.
  • Attend site inspections.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  • Relevant industry experience in a consulting environment with 5 or more years.
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication and liaison skills to engage with clients, contractors, agencies, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy team.
  • Strong practical understanding, proactive thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously with a focus on delivery and service.
  • Team player willing to contribute to team success.
