This role involves caring for critically ill and injured children in Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU) and High Dependency (HDU). The successful applicant will work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
About the PositionWe are seeking motivated and passionate nurses who can provide exceptional care and support to this vulnerable population. This unit offers a variety of supportive programs to assist nurses in their transition to Critical Care Nursing, including education programs for new graduates or experienced nurses from related specialties.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and adolescents, providing family-centered care and participating in ongoing education and training to develop skills and knowledge in Critical Care Nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Care for critically ill and injured children in PICU and HDU
- Work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Participate in ongoing education and training to develop skills and knowledge in Critical Care Nursing
- Please describe your approach to educating and involving parents/carers in the care of their child within an acute care setting
- Provide an example from your clinical practice that highlights your ability to provide excellent nursing care to patients
