About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill and injured animals in our state-of-the-art facility. As a member of our emergency team, you will work closely with veterinarians to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate and expert nursing care to patients
Assist veterinarians with medical procedures and surgeries
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date
Communicate effectively with pet owners to provide updates on their pet's condition and treatment plan
Collaborate with other members of the veterinary team to achieve the best possible patient outcomes
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Diploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary medical procedures
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
