We are seeking a highly skilled Site Operations Manager to lead our Sydney team in delivering exceptional construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating site activities in accordance with the project program, ensuring timely, safe, and budget-friendly delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety: Operate sites with a best practice approach to health and safety, observing and demonstrating safe work practices, and ensuring others follow suit.
  • Team Management: Manage and coach staff to meet their key deliverables, proactively addressing performance issues, and developing the team's knowledge and skills.
  • Site Management: Develop and expand the team's knowledge, taking a lead mentoring role for Cadets, and ensuring the most productive use of available materials and construction resources.
  • Tender Process: Thoroughly understand the relevant components within the tender process, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain overall quality assurance, ensuring building compliance, and monitoring environmental site-specific issues.
  • Communication: Maintain professional relationships with clients, sub-contractors, relevant authorities, delegates, and consultants, and inform the Project Manager of issues likely to impact operations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Site Manager.
  • Experience in detail-orientated bespoke projects.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes and guidelines.
  • Ability to drive projects to meet deadlines on time and on budget.
  • Proven experience effectively managing a team, including sub-contractors.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements and their application.
