About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Future You. This role will involve providing strategic legal advice on employment and workplace matters, developing policies and procedures, and monitoring emerging issues and developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal guidance on employment law matters, including international relocations, workplace health and safety, performance management, disciplinary proceedings, and workplace complaints and investigations.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team to manage and resolve workplace complaints and investigations, performance management, and disciplinary proceedings.
  • Assist the legal team in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience as a practicing lawyer, preferably gained from a renowned law firm or in-house organization.
  • Proven experience in advising across a broad range of employment-related areas, including international relocations, appropriate workplace behavior, workplace health and safety, performance management, disciplinary proceedings, and workplace complaints and investigations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to prioritize multiple matters and stakeholders.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
  • A positive attitude and someone who enjoys working as part of a team as well as autonomously.
