Work Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a Work Health and Safety Professional to join our organization in a full-time capacity.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications or extensive experience in WHS, with a proven track record of developing and implementing policies and procedures related to Work Health and Safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive Work Health and Safety Management System aligned with relevant legislation and codes.
  • Supporting strategic objectives, continuous improvement, and compliance with legislation, codes, and best practice principles.
  • Implementing and delivering a Safety Leadership strategy to promote a positive safety culture across the organization.
  • Providing expert health and safety advice and support in managing health and safety issues and risks.
  • Undertaking consultation, leading committees, and coordinating reporting accountabilities for safety initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or extensive experience in WHS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
  • A current Class C driver's licence and clean driving record.
