Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Hotel General Manager to lead the way in ensuring optimal operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and revenue growth at Wrest Point. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing all hotel operations, including food and beverage, conference & events, hotel accommodation, and property services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial results of a large and complex operation, analysing industry trends, monitoring financial results, and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Experience in annual business planning, from development to execution, including financial and headcount budgeting, proposed business targets, and KPIs.
  • Leadership abilities to bring the business mission, vision, and principles to life through a motivated and engaged operational workforce.
  • Organisational capability building using existing frameworks for development and performance management.
  • Passion to lead and direct a customer service culture that exceeds guest expectations.
  • Relationship management skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Tasmanian Gaming, Liquor, and Tobacco licencing or the ability to obtain and maintain these licences.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education.
  • Substantial management and leadership experience, ideally from a similar industry.
