We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Arborist/Climber. If you have a passion for horticulture, trees, or the outdoors, this role may be perfect for you.

About the Role:
  • Tree pruning, felling, and dismantling tasks will be undertaken on a regular basis.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for operating and maintaining tools and machinery.
  • Aerial tree inspections, ground operations using ladders, climbing equipment, and elevated platforms will be performed with precision and accuracy.

This position offers on-the-job training with attendance at TAFE once a week to complete your Cert III in Horticulture. You will work towards gaining certificates of competence, including chainsaw maintenance, crosscutting, and tree climbing/aerial rescue.

Requirements:
  • Genuine interest in arboriculture and horticulture is essential.
  • Candidates must be able to work at heights and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Previous experience working in a team environment is desirable.
  • You should be able to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety protocols are crucial.
  • Good attention to detail, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn new things are required.
