Job Overview

The Project Portfolio Manager is a key role that oversees project portfolio management, technology transfer, process optimization, and regulatory compliance.

This position ensures the site meets objectives by collaborating with teams and providing technical expertise and strategic direction.

The role involves managing and prioritizing projects, establishing priorities, and executing activities such as planning, procurement, manufacturing process setups, and quality processes.

As the technical lead between teams, the Project Portfolio Manager ensures high-quality technology transfers and stays updated with process sciences advancements and regulatory changes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage all non-engineering site projects and be accountable for their successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with other functions outside of the department to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Establish and maintain a project prioritisation process aligned with business objectives.
  • Execute activities for site projects including planning, procurement, manufacturing process setups, and quality processes.
  • Act as the technical lead between teams to ensure high-quality technology transfers.
  • Stay updated with process sciences advancements, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
  • Provide strategic technical direction to improve processes in line with business objectives.
  • Identify and specify resources required for proposed changes.
  • Support operations with new technologies and process improvements.
  • Work with R&D to onboard knowledge of new transferred processes.
  • Ensure technical studies contribute to business objectives.
  • Quality accountable for all projects: change controls, vendor assurance, deviations, process validation, stability, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support business growth by identifying gaps and delivering on timings.
  • Respond to regulatory questions and ensure evolving regulatory compliance.
