This role offers a meaningful opportunity to provide direct support to women and children experiencing domestic violence.

  • Deliver practical and emotional support to clients based on trauma-informed care practices
  • Assist with daily operations, including record keeping and accommodation services
  • Support group programmes and activities for clients
  • Advocate for clients with external agencies when necessary
  • Collaborate with case management staff to ensure client needs are met
  • Provide safe transport for clients when required
Requirements

We consider being a woman a genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)

  • Must be available to work the following roster: Monday to Wednesday 8am–2pm, Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am–2pm
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in community services
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a supportive approach
  • Experience using client databases and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent judgement, confidentiality and crisis management skills
  • Current First Aid certificate and NSW driver's licence
  • Availability to work rostered shifts, including public holidays if required
