Strategic Plant Manager

This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing plant management and fleet planning across various stages of the value chain, from planning to disposal.
The role involves strategic decision-making, managing resources efficiently, and driving commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be commercially astute, and have experience in asset management.
The person in this role will lead the development of medium- and long-term plant management strategies, drive execution, and oversee the maintenance of the plant asset register. They will also provide specialist advice on changes to policies and legislation affecting reporting requirements.
The job requires a high level of expertise in data-driven decision making, collaboration, and ability to create and deliver on strategic business goals. Experience in developing and operationalising fleet management strategy, ensuring plant meets business needs, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of medium- and long-term plant management strategies and drive execution.
- Perform plant accounting, oversee maintenance strategies, ensure best practices in preventative maintenance, procedures, and spare holdings.
- Lead identification, evaluation, and implementation of improvements, optimisation, and acquisition opportunities.
- Oversee the maintenance of the plant asset register and plant coordination.
- Provide specialist advice around changes to policies, legislation affecting reporting requirements.
- Oversee outsourced plant administration.
- Tertiary qualifications within business, engineering, or a relevant discipline are required.
- Commercially astute and data-driven decision maker with a collaborative approach.
- Demonstrated experience in an Asset Management leadership role is highly desirable.
- Safety and risk leadership through knowledge and application of continuous improvement for plant.
- Experience in developing and operationalising fleet management strategy, ensuring plant meets business needs.
- Operated in a complex matrixed environment with demonstrated ability to create and deliver on strategic business goals, driving change and adoption.
