Market Intelligence Officer

Role Overview:

This Market Intelligence Officer position is a key role within the Intelligence & Insights team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, analysing, and interpreting market intelligence to support domestic and international student recruitment across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of sales and marketing principles, student recruitment, consumer behaviour, and the higher education landscape. They will also possess strong communication skills, analytical proficiency using tools such as Excel, SPSS, DisplayR, Qualtrics, Alteryx, R, or Python, and a proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and project managing quantitative and qualitative research, including surveys, recruitment, focus groups, interviews, and mystery shopping.
  • Performing desk research and monitoring higher education reports to identify emerging trends.
  • Analysing and interpreting primary and secondary data to produce clear, actionable reports and presentations.
  • Sharing insights with internal stakeholders to support recruitment strategies, decision-making and enhanced understanding of student channels.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of conducting and project managing market research, including both primary and secondary, qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply sound judgement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
