Catholic Education Dioceses of Cairns is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of Diversity to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a primary role in supporting students with a disability and/or who are EALD, working closely with teachers to plan and implement teaching strategies and programs that identify and respond to the individual needs of students.

As a Teacher of Diversity, you will be responsible for communicating with parents as key partners in the educational outcomes of students and liaising with visiting specialists, including Therapists and Inclusive Education Teachers to support student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment

Requirements:

  • Be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
