Facilities Operations Manager

Job Title: Facilities Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Oaks Brisbane on Charlotte and Oaks Brisbane Festival Suites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and drive the preventative maintenance program.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs as required.
- Supervise electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
- Property maintenance including painting, plastering, and carpentry.
- Ensure WHS best practice at all times.
- Stock control and supplier management.
- Quoting, scheduling, and managing of Capex Requests.
- Recruitment.
Requirements:
- Building qualification advantageous.
- Previous hands-on Maintenance/Facilities Management experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Strong facilities knowledge.
- Property maintenance experience including painting, plastering, and carpentry.
- Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
- Experience implementing a preventative maintenance program.
- Experience organizing, consulting, and negotiating with contractors.
- Sound MS Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and word documents).
- A passion for delivering exceptional, proactive service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications combined with impeccable presentation.
