Rehabilitation Specialist Job Description

Job Purpose: To support individuals through workplace injury recovery by providing personalized rehabilitation services.

The role involves managing complex physical and psychological injury cases, offering health coaching, career guidance, and return-to-work support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct vocational assessments to identify suitable job opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain employer networks to facilitate return-to-work initiatives.
  • Utilize award-winning psychosocial risk assessment tools to ensure effective case management.
  • Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psychology, or Psychology.
  • Eligibility for registration with relevant professional bodies (ASORC, AASW, APHRA).
  • Experience in a similar role within the Occupational Rehabilitation sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and consultation.
  • Attention to detail and results-focused approach.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Research and data preparation skills.
