Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Specialist.
As a valued member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing support and assistance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to promote the well-being and recovery of clients.
The primary objective of this role is to provide therapeutic interventions that cater to the diverse needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes
- Provide crisis intervention and support services to clients in need
- Offer education and support to empower clients in managing their mental health
Requirements:
- Essential qualifications: Recognized qualification in a social or human services area or other relevant tertiary qualification or Diploma of Community Services (Mental Health)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in outreach, harm reduction, mental health or in the AOD field
- Demonstrated knowledge of co-occurring drug use and mental health issues, harm reduction in the context of illicit & other drugs and risks associated with the use of these
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure appropriate assessment, support and referral for clients
