About the Role

The Night Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during night shifts. This includes managing the front office team, handling guest arrivals and departures, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the front office team during night shifts, ensuring efficient operation and high levels of customer service.
  • Handle guest arrivals and departures, including checking in and out, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct daily audits to ensure accuracy of records and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Work closely with the Guest Welcome Manager to balance guest expectations, colleague needs, and profitability.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office Leadership team to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of night audit tasks, including balancing revenue and payments.
  • Proactively resolve guest complaints and concerns, focusing on a win-win outcome.
  • Respond promptly to all guest enquiries, including reception, switchboard, and reservations.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest details, including loyalty program information.
  • Work closely with the security team to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
  • Closing off and rolling over the Property Management System (PMS) accurately.
About You
  • Previous experience as a Hotel Night Manager or similar role in a high-volume hotel (200+ rooms).
  • Proven experience with Property Management Systems (PMS), preferably Opera Cloud.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel expertise.
  • A friendly and warm personality with immaculate grooming and presentation.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative to solve problems.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as per business needs.
  • Willingness to obtain or have a current QLD RSA and First Aid Certificate.
  • Qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance desirable but not essential.
  • Excellence in your field and the ability to act as a true ambassador for AccorHotel.
  • Must hold unlimited work rights in Australia.
