Ignite is seeking a Data Scientist for a contract opportunity. The successful candidate will work with one or more multi-disciplinary teams to deliver digital services within the department. Key duties will include aiding teams in maximizing existing data and exploring new data sources. The candidate will identify suitable data sources and integrate them into user-centric digital product features using various techniques, such as analysis, visualization, predictive modeling, and machine learning. The Data Scientist will also help teams grasp the strategic aspects of data usage, encompassing privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Requirements include proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst, extensive experience in large-scale transformations, and a strong track record working in agile and multi-disciplinary teams. Additionally, the candidate will have a deep understanding of machine learning and operations research, as well as knowledge of R, SQL, and Python.
