Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Advisor to join our Strategic People Partnership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing trusted coaching, insight, and support to our leaders and employees on a range of HR matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interpreting legislation, regulations, awards, and industrial agreements, as well as experience in developing and implementing sound HR practices. They will also possess excellent communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop trusted relationships at all levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality HR advice and guidance to employees and managers;
  • Interpreting legislation, regulations, awards, and industrial agreements to ensure compliance and best practice;
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that reflect our values and comply with evolving legislation;
  • Working closely with our People Services Team to ensure a supported workforce with sound advice and strong HR practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A post-secondary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience;
  • Experience interpreting legislation, regulations, awards, and industrial agreements together with policy and procedures to provide high-quality and pragmatic HR advice;
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and proven ability in developing trusted business relationships at all levels to gain support and influence outcomes;
  • Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
