Our school is located in the outer northern Brisbane suburb of Bald Hills, an Anglican co-educational institution catering to students from Pre-Prep to Year 12.

As a dedicated educator, you will play a vital role in delivering a vibrant curriculum to your students. You must have a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in Science and Mathematics, as well as the ability to use teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group.

The ideal candidate will be able to differentiate curriculum to adapt to the needs of the students and possess exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and organisational skills.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a holistic education including;

  • Creating a nurturing learning environment that is learner-centred, safe, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with curriculum, policies, and practices
  • Effective planning, implementation, and reviewing of learning programs;
  • Effective management of students in the classroom and wider school community;
  • Ensuring that the values and Christian ethos of the School are upheld.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You will have qualifications and contemporary teaching experience as well as:

  • Experience teaching Science and Mathematics in middle years classes (Years 7–10), as well as Senior Physics and/or Chemistry and/or Senior Mathematics
  • Qualified Teacher, registered with, or eligible for registration with the relevant authorities
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice, and engagement
  • Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum: Science and Australian Curriculum: Mathematics
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and organisational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, parents, and carers to achieve the best outcomes for students
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith and Anglican ethos of the School
