Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our Commercial and Industrial Customers (C&I) Energy Solutions Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading engineering design and technical sign-off for large complex projects, delivering against operational objectives and project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Developing safe designs for Energy Solution projects, including Solar PV and Energy Storage systems, to comply with relevant industry and WHS standards and meet deadlines required for Project Execution.
- Developing external scope of work for multi-disciplinary engineering services and managing service providers to deliver to these scopes, assisting the Project Delivery Team to resolve technical issues encountered during the installation and adjusting designs and drawings accordingly.
- Conducting Project Sign-Off and Safety Walks to ensure safe and quality installations as part of the Project Delivery Team and continuously improving operational processes and procedures to increase design accuracy, reduce installation costs and drive product innovation.
- Mentoring and developing engineers in best practice design processes, relevant industry standards and AGL work practices and values.
- Proactively engaging with expert and industry networks to stay at the forefront of technical and regulatory developments.
- Ensuring safety in design principles are utilized wherever engineering work may have a downstream impact on the safety of people, property or the environment.
- Managing the investigation of any incidents and near misses arising from project work in accordance with the AGL Incident, Near Miss and Hazard Management Procedure.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Photovoltaic Engineering and Chartership with Engineers Australia (or actively seeking accreditation), coupled with any additional Accreditations across the Australian Solar Market industry.
- Experience in design and construction of major industrial and commercial rooftop solar systems up to 2 MWp, ground mount solar systems, and integration into LV and HV infrastructure electrical systems.
- Knowledge of products and brands used within energy solutions.
- Knowledge and experience with design and engineering software (solar modelling and electrical component specification software, Net Suite, Procore and Auto CAD), and Microsoft Office.
- Well-developed, detail-oriented organization skills and good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
