Job Title

We are seeking a Senior Liaison Officer to lead our Connected Communities team.

This key role involves leading and mentoring a small team of liaison officers, strengthening partnerships with facility stakeholders, overseeing governance and compliance across community assets, and driving strategic planning and budget management for Halls & Hubs.

You will also be required to collaborate across Council teams to ensure safe, effective facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor Connected Communities Liaison Officers (2) to deliver exceptional service.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strengthen partnerships with facility stakeholders to improve access and outcomes.
  • Governance and Compliance: Oversee governance and compliance across community assets.
  • Strategic Planning and Budget Management: Drive strategic planning and budget management for Halls & Hubs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate across Council teams to ensure safe, effective facility operations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in community engagement, stakeholder management or facility governance.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking and budget management skills.
  • Knowledge of hire agreements, leases, and licensing processes.
  • Familiarity with software systems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
About the Role

As a Senior Liaison Officer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing partnerships, governance, and strategic operations across Council managed spaces.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from our Office Civic Centre location when needed to support team and operational needs.
