Procurement Officer Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled procurement professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of national programs and services.

The role sits within the Procurement and Contracts Support Branch, which delivers in-house procurement and contract management services under an account management model.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality procurement advice and services to ensure compliance with frameworks, minimize risk, and deliver value for money.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising business areas on procurement processes, documentation, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations
  • Reviewing procurement documentation, including spending proposals, procurement plans, approaches to market, delegate approvals, contracts, work orders, and risk assessments
  • Supporting procurement planning and the development of Statements of Requirement
  • Contributing to procurement strategies, systems, and reporting to strengthen branch performance
  • Maintaining and promoting strong stakeholder relationships across the organization
  • Providing advice on contract management activities

Required skills and qualifications include prior APS6-level experience in procurement or contract management in a Federal Government environment, a strong working knowledge of relevant policies and regulations, and the ability to provide clear, practical advice to stakeholders.
