About the Role:
The University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) is seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator to join our team in the South West Region. As a Research Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating the UDRH's research agenda, working closely with our team to develop and implement research projects that address the health needs of the South West region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the UDRH's research agenda, including developing and implementing research projects, and working with stakeholders to identify research priorities.
- Provide administrative support to the research team, including coordinating meetings, managing budgets, and preparing reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, health services, and other research institutions.
- Contribute to the development of research proposals, including writing and editing grant applications.
- Assist with the coordination of research projects, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination of results.
Requirements:
- Professional qualification in a health-related field.
- PhD or equivalent experience.
- Experience in grant writing and producing peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience in research related to rural health issues and/or Aboriginal health and wellbeing desirable but not essential.
- High degree of interpersonal skills, including team work and leadership, communication and negotiating skills.
- Ability to foster external relationships and communications with community and other stakeholders.
- Eligibility for Working with Children clearance and registration with professional organization as relevant.
