About the Role

Curtin University is seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow to manage the University's participation in the 'EXCITE2' project. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in geoscience and advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with EXCITE2 program users to schedule visits and coordinate instrument usage.
  • Communicate with users to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Coordinate visits to Curtin University, manage sample shipments, and oversee sample analysis.
  • Assist EXCITE2 program users in specimen preparation, data acquisition, and reconstruction and processing.
  • Contribute to writing and co-authoring high-impact journal articles.
  • Play a key role in the management team, assessing the feasibility of potential projects.
  • Explore opportunities for independent research using the facility.

Requirements
  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience in micro and nanoscale analytical techniques.
  • Expertise in high spatial-resolution geochemistry of minerals.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills with experience in laboratory procurement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Practices.
  • Track record of publication on relevant research.
