Base Metals Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our organization as a Base Metals Purchasing Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier portfolio management, purchasing operations, and metals hedging.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining robust relationships with suppliers of aluminum, copper, steel wires, nylon, and overseas materials.
  • Negotiating contracts, managing non-conformances, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate price records and exploring new supplier/material opportunities.

Key Deliverables:

  • Monitoring and managing all open purchase orders to ensure timely supply.
  • Resolving invoicing queries by verifying pricing and quantities, and adjusting POs as needed.
  • Creating and maintaining SAP outline agreements, material codes, and master data records.

The role requires exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing supplier relationships.
