Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Factory Sorter to join our team on the Gold Coast.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sorting materials for destruction on tables or conveyor belts
  • Operating shredding and bailing equipment according to standards
  • Accurately recording information on inbound and outbound loads
  • Performing pre-start checks on plant and equipment
  • Carrying out regular cleaning of equipment
  • Maintaining the facility to a clean standard at all times
  • Emptying pallets and container bins
  • Ensuring all stock is returned to the correct place
  • Checking loads are secure
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or crates around the facility
  • Assisting in the unloading and reloading of local trucks
  • Loading export containers and semi-trailers to allowed load limits
  • Checking quality of incoming and outgoing materials and reporting any non-compliance to the supervisor
Requirements:
  • Preferably holding a current Forklift licence
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks for periods of time
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Able to work autonomously and independently
  • Ability to ensure service meets quality objectives
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Good Time Management
  • Attention to detail
