About the Role

  • This Senior Finance Manager position is a key role within our Group Performance & Analytics Team, working closely with Divisions, Treasury, and Finance teams to support Challenger's overall strategy.
  • You will oversee and manage all financial reporting and analysis for our Customer Division, providing insights and guidance that support strategic decision-making.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing all financial reporting for our Customer Division, operating as a trusted business partner and driving commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial and Management Reporting:
  • Understand monthly Challenger sales results and conduct analysis across Challenger Life sales and Funds Management flows and FUM results.
  • Prepare monthly financial packs and Board papers for senior stakeholders within tight timeframes.
  • Develop quarterly ASX FUM, half-year-end, and year-end analyst pack metrics, market disclosures, and analysis.
  • Review and redesign Customer reporting on the Power BI platform.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with Finance and the Business to develop the Life sales and FM flows budget and 3-year plan.
  • Prepare and maintain the sales budget and rolling forecast within Anaplan.
  • Support Group BP&A to coordinate and consolidate Group budgets and maintain rolling forecasts.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management:
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Customer Chief Executive and Management Team.
  • Present results and analysis to key stakeholders, including the Customer Chief Executive and Group CFO.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies and simplification.

Requirements

  • An experienced finance professional with strong commercial awareness, business partnering, and financial analysis expertise.
  • Organised, dynamic, and a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in a senior accounting capacity, ideally from within financial services and/or an ASX Listed environment.
