Strategic Procurement Leader for Sourcing Excellence

This renowned Government services provider is a leader in delivering innovative procurement solutions, and they are seeking an experienced category manager to drive strategic sourcing excellence.

The role combines the focus on developing and implementing forward-thinking procurement strategies with working closely with stakeholders to deliver projects. This is a unique opportunity that requires a skilled professional with a passion for achieving sourcing outcomes and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of Strategic Category Management Programs: Develop and implement forward-looking category management programs that align with business objectives and drive value creation.
  • Implementation of Supplier Consolidation and Category Management Strategies: Drive the implementation of robust category management strategies, including supplier consolidation, to achieve cost savings and improved quality.
  • Commercial Contract Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop contemporary commercial contracts that meet business needs and drive value creation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Alignment: Foster collaboration between diverse stakeholders and supply chain partners to align objectives and achieve customer delivery outcomes.
  • Review and Development of Opportunities: Review and develop opportunities that deliver Government Procurement Initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving value creation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain: Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, with a strong track record of achievement.
  • Passion for Achieving Sourcing Outcomes: A genuine passion for achieving sourcing outcomes and collaborating with stakeholders to drive value creation.
  • Ability to Achieve Savings and Improve Contracts: Demonstrated ability to achieve savings and improve existing contracts through effective negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • VGPB Experience: Proven experience working within the Victorian Government Procurement Board (VGPB) framework.
