About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Newcastle, Australia. As a Specialist Psychiatrist, you will provide clinical leadership to well-established multidisciplinary teams and work alongside other Consultants, registrars, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality and compassionate care directly to patients, families, and carers
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in the on-call psychiatrist roster for after-hours telephone advice
  • Support, advise, teach, and direct junior medical staff undergoing professional training

Requirements
  • A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the RANZCP, and/or overseas-trained specialist pathways
  • Demonstrated recent and comprehensive experience in Psychiatry as a Consultant
