We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Sommelier to join our team at Carlotta on a casual basis.
About CarlottaCarlotta is a distinctly Australian celebration of Mediterranean flavours and hospitality, channeling the generous spirit of Mediterranean dining. Our menu encourages shared feasting across an ever-evolving selection of antipasti, handmade pasta, and meat and seafood cooked over coals, with a custom-made wood oven from Naples taking pride of place in the kitchen.

Job DescriptionThis is a hands-on role with a focus on service delivery, requiring a keen interest in wine and exceptional communication skills. You will be working closely with our experienced sommeliers to provide top-notch service and share your passion for wine with our guests.
Requirements- Hospitality experience with a demonstrated interest in wine.
- Demonstrated experience as a Sommelier in a premium restaurant (although not essential).
- A genuine passion for the wine industry.
- Extensive knowledge of wine, including both new and old world varieties.
- Exceptional service skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and guests.
- Experience with stock control and inventory management is advantageous.
- High adaptability and ability to perform in high-pressure service periods.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
