Regional Sales Director Role

The primary objective of this position is to lead and execute the sales activities for a designated region, ensuring achievement of short-term and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning and execution of regional sales strategies
  • Leadership and coaching of sales teams, including regular evaluation and support
  • Relationship management with key stakeholders to facilitate sales execution
  • Minimum 60% of time spent in-field supporting the sales force strategy
  • Meet performance targets as defined by senior management

Core Activities:

  • Develop and implement regional plans to execute on our overall strategy, aligning with ANZ market goals. Support product launches, forecasting, customer targeting, and report on successes/challenges.
  • Prepare comprehensive business reviews, competitive analysis, regional sales reports, market/environmental data, and forecasts for timely presentation to senior management.
  • Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the Region and collaborate with Marketing and other functions to develop engagement programs.
  • Manage relationships with Orthopaedic Heads of Department in all regions.
  • Engage with Med Ed teams, nominating candidates for education opportunities, and support local region events.
  • Develop a strong, engaged sales team and clinical nurses to achieve sales success in the region. Monitor, evaluate, coach, and manage team members' performance.
  • Maintain a working environment compliant with ISO 9001:2008 standards and company policies/procedures. Lead the region in adherence to compliance activities.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in science or a business-related discipline
  • Proven experience in Orthopaedic and/or Trauma sales
  • Successful leadership experience within current sales teams
  • A proven track record of consistent sales performance
  • Strong understanding of the selling process, salesforce management skills, and Orthopaedics/Trauma products/industry
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
