Senior Robotics Engineer Job Description

As a leading innovator in the field of robotics, we are seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge perception and planning algorithms for our autonomous vehicles.

This role requires a visionary leader who can harness advanced techniques in computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning to elevate the perception and planning capabilities of our vehicles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing perception and planning algorithms into vehicle system software
  • Utilizing expert-level knowledge in computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning
  • Designing and developing software that runs on- and off-platform
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of development processes for initial delivery and subsequent iteration of robotic software
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate perception and planning technologies into vehicle architectures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Expert proficiency in C++ and/or Python software development
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of at least one of: computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, machine learning

Preferred qualifications include: experience with simulation tools and frameworks, knowledge of safety standards and certification processes, and familiarity with System Engineering concepts.
