The successful candidate will work closely with the Horticulture Supervisor to deliver daily horticulture tasks, including planting, mulching, spraying, mowing, brush cutting, weeding, and soft and hard landscaping.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Planting and maintaining a variety of plants, including native species and exotic flora.","
  • Maintaining equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.","
  • Providing support for special projects and events within the sanctuary.","
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations as required.","

Required skills and qualifications include:

","
  • At least 3 years' experience in horticulture and/or landscaping.","
  • Good generalist horticulture knowledge.","
  • Ability to work autonomously and perform daily horticulture tasks as directed.","
  • Qualification of Certificate III in Horticulture.","
  • Current manual driver's license.","
  • Desirable: Skid steer/Bobcat license/experience, First Aid, chainsaw, ACDC spraying license, LR truck license, and Qld White card.","
