Disputes Specialist

A top-tier commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice in Sydney is seeking a skilled Disputes Specialist to join the team on a full-time basis.

Working under the leadership of experienced partners, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in litigation and disputes resolution on some of the country's largest class actions and product liability cases. As part of international defence teams, you will gain valuable insights and experience working on complex matters with leading clients across multiple sectors including life sciences, consumer goods, automotive and financial products.

This high-performing team is looking for an individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills to act on product regulatory issues and advice for clients. The work includes managing litigation matters, carrying out day-to-day tasks, and handling smaller matters with responsibility for specific workstreams in large cases.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a lawyer in a commercial litigation practice;
  • Exposure to class actions or large-scale commercial litigation matters;
  • Familiarity with Supreme / Federal Court litigation;
  • Strong academic results;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • A proactive approach to resolving disputes.
