Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished technical leader to spearhead our software development efforts. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping the architecture, performance, and scalability of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise to drive technical excellence across the engineering team, setting high standards for architecture, scalability, and code quality.
  • Own and evolve core backend services and frontend components, delivering reliable and performant systems that power user-facing experiences and internal tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a long-term engineering roadmap, translating business goals into scalable technology strategies.
  • Lead critical code and design reviews, mentoring, pair programming, and system-level thinking to multiply the team's capabilities.
  • Promote clean code, observability, and security as non-negotiables in our development practices.
  • Influence engineering culture through participation in technical guilds and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive growth.
  • Drive innovation at the intersection of digital and physical, collaborating with manufacturing, logistics, and fulfillment teams to create software that powers real-world operations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a software engineer, with a strong track record of building and scaling cloud-native systems in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to operate at a Principal Engineer or Staff Engineer level, influencing multiple teams or domains.
  • Hands-on expertise with TypeScript, NestJS, Vue, Postgres, and AWS in production environments.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservice design, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and align stakeholders on pragmatic technical solutions.
  • Experience working with manufacturing, IoT, logistics, or physical product environments is a plus.
