Transport and Logistics Leader Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee daily operations, develop load planning strategies, manage teams, and coordinate with workshop teams.

This role is ideal for a results-driven individual with strong leadership skills, computer literacy, and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in the transport or logistics sector, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective load planning strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce cross-docking.
  • Manage and allocate daily jobs across a team of drivers, ensuring timely completion and high-quality service.
  • Coordinate with workshop teams to plan equipment maintenance, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Liaise with customers and warehouse partners via email and phone, resolving queries and issues promptly.
  • Oversee warehouse and yard operations, including returns and rejected loads, to maintain accurate system data and efficient workflows.
  • Manage cross-dock functions, ensuring seamless transactions and minimal delays.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Operations Supervisor in the transport or logistics sector.
  • Strong computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to transport management systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high level of accountability and responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A client-focused mindset, with a drive to deliver exceptional service and exceed customer expectations.
