Position Overview
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Internal Audit function for a prominent financial services organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Audit, your expertise will guide the audit strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate a comprehensive risk-based audit plan annually, addressing critical strategic and operational risks pertinent to your domain.
- Execute audit activities in alignment with the established Audit Plan, ensuring compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors' standards.
- Foster and maintain strong internal audit relationships with senior executives across various business units.
- Engage with senior stakeholders, including Board members, to provide insights and reporting on audit findings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a commercially driven Internal Audit position within a financial institution or a top-tier consulting firm.
- Expertise in managing the full audit lifecycle.
- Background in a 'Big 4' or mid-tier international chartered firm, or within a financial services organization.
- Thorough understanding of internal control frameworks within an audit context.
- Strong business partnering capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and work independently.
