About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Commercialisation team at pladis Foods Limited. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of projects that align with our business objectives, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery: Ensure the successful delivery of projects, including line extensions, product changes, and packaging updates, within the Commercialisation function.
  2. Project Governance: Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring compliance with pladis' stage and gate process, and reporting on project progress, risks, and issues.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Engage and advise key partners, including MDs and other stakeholders, on project status, progress, risks, and issues.
  4. Project Planning: Plan, govern, and deliver projects on time, in full, and within budget, using pladis' stage and gate system.
  5. Project Tracking: Track and report on project progress, issues, and risks in an accurate and timely manner.
  6. Project Scope Management: Ensure tight control of project scope, action standards, and guardrails, with clear approval processes for any changes.
  7. Conflict Resolution: Arbitrate and resolve conflicts and interface problems within individual projects.
  8. Process Compliance: Validate working understanding and compliance to pladis' key project management systems and processes.
  9. Packaging Management: Ensure the delivery of pack change projects, including smooth transitions when changing SKUs or codes, and mitigating existing packaging write-offs.
  10. Interdependency Management: Identify, communicate, and align initiatives with interdependencies through the process.
Risk Mitigation
  1. Project Risk Identification: Identify projects at risk.
  2. Escalation: Escalate when appropriate, collating options, impact, and a recommendation for alignment or decision.
  3. Mitigation Measures: Identify, align, and implement mitigation measures.
  4. Obstacle Removal: Identify, escalate where appropriate, and work cross-functionally to remove obstacles quickly and efficiently.
Requirements
  1. Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management, with a focus on commercialisation and project delivery.
  2. Business Acumen: Experience within at least one area of the business, such as Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Procurement, or Technical.
  3. FMCG Experience: Experience working in the FMCG industry, with a focus on commercialisation and project delivery.
  4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Broad Business Understanding: A broad understanding of pladis' business processes across all relevant areas.
  2. Commercial Competence: Commercial competence, with experience working across multiple functions or fields.
  3. Formal Project Management Qualification: A formal project management qualification, such as Prince.
  4. Degree or Equivalent Experience: A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Interview Process
  1. 1st Stage Interview: A 45-minute competency-based interview, focusing on our company values and your experiences.
  2. 2nd Stage Interview: A 60-minute technical interview, to understand your skill set, case study, or presentation interview.
