Job Title: Strategic Fiscal Leader

Lead a team in developing and implementing complex economic, fiscal, and commercial policies that drive growth and stability in the state.

  • Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges and drive strategic direction for key divisions.
  • Provide authoritative advice and analysis to senior stakeholders on fiscal performance and policy objectives.
  • Oversee the delivery of whole-of-government fiscal and risk management policies, ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Strategically oversee major economic development initiatives, commercial projects, and private sector engagements.
  • Actively contribute to shaping strategic direction and organisational priorities.
  • Represent the state in high-level negotiations and consultations, ensuring professional representation of economic and financial interests.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a leader in a large and complex organisation.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing complex economic, fiscal, or public policy frameworks.
  • Ability to create innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Extensive experience in delivering significant and complex transactions, infrastructure, and commercial projects.
  • High-level political acumen and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Outstanding judgement, integrity, and ethical leadership.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
